Our client, operating in the media and advertising sector, was looking to hold their annual client event in Amsterdam this year. Last year the event was held at a private member hotel in Berlin. Attendees for this year’s meeting would be coming from Israel, Germany and UK. Accommodation and transportation was required during their stay.
Since all clients are working in the media and advertising industry, they were looking for a more arty and not too corporate hotel and venue. We wanted to give them an exclusive and very cool experience in Amsterdam that fitted their needs.
We found a unique hotel as a perfect base for their client event in Amsterdam: The Hoxton. The Hoxton is located in the city centre of Amsterdam and when you look out of your window you have the most stunning view over the famous canal the ‘Herengracht’. Once you step inside in this hotel you immediately get a homey, warm and comfy feeling because you enter a cozy lounge instead of a standard check-in desk. This hotel fitted the client perfectly because of the trendy, contemporary and extraordinary vibe.
As the guests arrived on a sunny Thursday morning in June, their private driver brought them to The Hoxton. A small welcome package awaited for them at the front desk which included a map of Amsterdam and the venues of their trip.
Since the group was only in Amsterdam for two days, we wanted to give them the best experience possible. We searched for a meeting room within walking distance so they could experience Amsterdam’s pride; our Canal Ring area.
During our venue searching we stumbled upon this first public climate neutral canal house of Amsterdam. Originally it is a yoga studio with a conscious design but yet one with a soul because of the amount of antique items that answered the arty request of the client.
The meeting room we selected for them is called The Green Temple and has a 18m2 plant wall. Fun fact: a study has shown that when a room is decorated with plants 15% more ideas are generated. The Green Temple has an earthy design including self-made tables from 300 year old oak floor board from the famous Wester Tower. Additionally, we ordered some comfy couches to chill on as this was a request from the client. This way they could easily take a break from their meetings. The food that was served in between the meetings was completely vegetarian and organic. All of the food is made of their authentic and homemade recipes.
After an intense first day of meetings, it is time to refresh as the boat will be departing around 18.30.
Upon arrival the guests were welcomed with a glass of Taittinger champagne and luxury canapés including a sashimi of tuna, a crostini with carpaccio, a stuffed mini portobello and many more delicious bites. While enjoying their foods and drinks they discovered Amsterdam by water and headed to their dinner location. The guests were dropped off at the private pier of The Harbour Club Zuid where hosts where awaiting them with welcome drinks. The Harbour Club is an unique location in Amsterdam with an international allure and fantastic food. Expect daily fresh fish and a high quality assortment, they only use high-quality and super fresh products. The unique restaurant concept together with the historical and beautiful location contributed to the requested exclusive experience.
The second and last day of their trip they woke up to a light breakfast bag hanging on the door. Again it was a beautiful day to walk along the canals to The Conscious Club for their half day of meetings. They finished their day off with a healthy and tasty lunch.
All good things come to an end but we had a blast organizing this event. View more of our projects here!
