Luxury Gala Dinner
EVENTÔIR hosted a luxury gala dinner in Amsterdam, for a venture capital firm. It was a 2-day event with a dinner and a hybrid meeting for 100 guests. For this special occasion, we thought of a theme to match the venue and came up with the Golden Age theme for styling and entertainment.
Hotel Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam
This gala dinner in Amsterdam took place at the legendary Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The hotel is situated inside a beautiful building from the 17th century. With high ceilings, white marble floors, and picturesque secluded courtyards, It’s a place of elegance and style!
We organized the gala dinner in the Council Chamber, a venue where H.R.H. Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands got married 55 years ago. Our guests loved the hotel’s monumental interiors with warm colours that create a contemporary vibe and blended nicely with the brand colours.
The event started around 6:30 pm, and the aperitif was served in the Admiralty Room. The VIP guests of this evening were not only from the Netherlands, but from diverse countries of the globe. This meant that we had to come up with something special and unique for this event.
We tailor-made a Rembrandt wall, which looked like a wall full of paintings you would see in a museum. The actor in front of this wall contributed to making the whole experience interactive. One of the highlights for our guests was how the paintings would open up and a hand would come out from the painting with a glass of champagne.
We also had a piano/cocktail bar. On one side of the piano, there was a pianist and a singer. On the other side, the guests could get an artisan cocktail with a blue or orange accent to reflect the client’s brand colours.
After the aperitif, it was time to lead the guests to the legendary Council Chamber. So, we thought of a unique idea! “Chandleladies” in golden dresses (reflecting the Golden Age of Amsterdam) would lead the guests through the beautiful courtyard to the dining room and place the guests at their dining table.
The walk through the courtyard to the dining room was delightful. It was just getting dark, and the golden trees (stilt walkers) in the courtyard were lit to create a magical vibe and at the Council Chamber, the dining tables were beautifully decorated.
The same actor from the Rembrandt wall announced the welcome speech. The actor spoke in Shakespearian English, matching the golden age theme of the event. “The Triplicats” band brought swing back onto the modern stage throughout the dinner, combining jazz classics and easy listening with current hits in a vintage coating.
Entertaiment Act
We also have to mention the fabulous surprise Rembrandt act, which performed just in between the starter and the main course.. Dancers dressed in beautiful costumes performed an amazing show and it seemed that everyone was having a good time.
After the main course, it was time for table roulette by the Chandleladies. We finished dinner with dessert and coffee. The next day they would have a full day of meetings. It was an unforgettable evening!
