Incentive to Marrakech
Marrakech
We organized an incentive to Marrakech for an IT company based in Germany. The aim was to organize an incentive on a special location. The client wanted to create a memorable and active event for all the attendees. Hence, we organized a memorable corporate event in Marrakech. The client wanted to create a memorable and active event for all the attendees. Marrakech is known as the red city. Located at the foot of the Atlas mountains, this is the ideal starting point for your incentive trip. Marrakech is not far from Europe. With many direct flights from the major cities in Europe you can get there in a few hours. Although it is not far from Europe it still feels like you are in another world, where authentic experiences can be found.
On the first welcome evening they had a dinner at the Lotus Privilege restaurant . A lovely romantic restaurant, in the middle of a medina. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere thanks to the Moroccan architecture and the welcoming employees. You feel like you are in a small oasis where you can enjoy excellent food while being entertained by musicians and belly dancers. The second day of their trip they woke up to a nice breakfast. This was a day full of meetings at the hotel. In the afternoon, the group visited the Jemaa el Fna square. The Jemaa el Fna square is a market and gathering place. In the morning, stall owners set up their stands to sell different products. Here all sorts of entertainment can be found. Once the sun sets, Jemaa el-Fna really comes alive with storytellers, entertainers and artists. Around the square you can find many restaurants that serve traditional Moroccan food.
The day ended with dinner at Dar Zellij. Dar Zellij represents the purest tradition of the Moroccan hospitality. The main courtyard is an appealing blend of whitewashed pillars and walls, and red carpets and rose petals. Aside from the main dining area there’s a series of more intimate alcoves, rooms and patios to dine in, as well as a charming roof terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif.
Team Building Activities in Marrakech
After another full day of meetings, the group had a more active day. A private guide explained them about the Moroccan culture and habits, and they enjoyed an Ipad treasure hunt in the Medina, exploring the medieval streets, souks and medina of Morocco’s “Red City” through its palaces and monuments. During this treasure hunt fun challenges had to be completed. For example: : learn the art of haggling at the souks, grab a taxi within budget, take a picture with a street artist, go to market stand #75 and buy a typical Moroccan snack, drink Moroccan tea on a rooftop. All the challenges are typical activities/ traditions from the country.
After this challenging activity, the group continued to Nomad. Nomad is a well-known rooftop restaurant in Marrakech. Here they ate a nice lunch, while enjoying beautiful views over the city.
On the fourth day the group went outside the city to discover the Berber culture and visited a visited a Berber family in their mud-walled desert home and were invited for tea – a ritual at the heart of Morocco’s rich hospitality.
In the afternoon they arrived at a desert camp in Agafay, where they could go camel riding.
Event in the Desert
A private chef prepared Moroccan Tajine for them in the desert. An unforgettable experience.
Few experiences can beat an overnight camp in the desert, and we took it to a next level of luxury, privatizing the entire camp for this group.
On the day of departure, they still had time to enjoy sunrise in the desert and a local breakfast. After breakfast, the group had a transfer to the airport by 4x4 for their flight back home.
