An international publishing company hired EVENTÔIR to organise a client meeting in Oman, the Middle East.

Being a company that serves and supports the research community, the meeting attendees were clients. We organised a meeting in Oman before, we know the country would be a great fit for the group.

After their arrival at the airport, the guests had picked up by their local guide brought to the hotel. They stayed at InterContinental, a 5-star hotel located directly at the beach in Muscat.

This hotel is great when you are organising to have a meeting in Oman. Here they got the chance to unpack and prepare for the day, with several meetings and nice activities awaiting them.

The first plan was to visit the National Museum of Oman. This is a great way to get to know the Omani history, lifestyle, traditions, culture, nature, and products. It is a new and modern museum presenting the exhibited artefacts and stories in an informative way.

With a guided tour through the rooms, you will leave the museum and the country with an incredible amount of knowledge you would otherwise not be able to obtain. A visit you should not miss out on.

The local guide narrated the story of the city and the charming 19th-century merchant´s houses while passing colourful minarets and the commercial centre. There was a quick stop at the old-fashioned bazaar named Muttrah Souk. The guests could find typical Omani clothing, household goods, different spices, and antiques.

The group went to a traditional restaurant serving local dishes to finish a day full of impressions with a satisfying and delicious 3-course dinner. The restaurant Bait al Luban is located right next to the fish market.

Being a company that serves and supports the research community, the meeting attendees were clients working for, among others, universities and pharmaceutical companies. Having organised a meeting in Oman before, we knew the country would be a great fit and offer enough possibilities for the group.

Frequently visited and regularly booked out, this only undermines the popularity of this lovely restaurant. The interior looks authentic, and the staff wear a matching uniform. All in all, an evening filled with different tastes, experiences, and fun times. The local guide expected the guests outside the restaurant to take them back to the hotel, where they got to have a good night’s sleep. A day well spent that our clients will not forget easily.

Our client meeting in Oman was great! Staying at the InterContinental was a great choice for holding our meetings. We visited the National Museum of Oman and had a guided walk along Muttrah Corniche by our friendly guide Salim. We visited the Souk and had dinner at a traditional restaurant serving local dishes. The restaurant Bait al Luban is located right next to the fish market. Thanks again!
